The Harris Homeownership Foundation is a Memphis-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to affordable housing and promoting financial stability through homeownership for underserved communities. By purchasing and renovating homes for low-income, first-time buyers — with homes that can cost less than renting — the foundation helps families stabilize their finances, build wealth, and shape communities that have historically been neglected and exploited.

What HHF Does

Affordable Homeownership

Making housing available for purchase to low-income individuals and families, often for less than the cost of renting.

Focused on Black, Indigenous, LGBTQ+, and other communities of color too often marginalized by the housing market.

Buy & Renovate Pilots

Purchasing and renovating single-family homes for first-time buyers, then reinvesting to prepare more homes.

Governed by a board of trustees and led by principal officer Delphia F. Harris, the foundation works to remove families from the cycle of housing speculation and rental insecurity.
