Unions fight for better jobs — NJFAN fights for jobs for everyone. The National Jobs for All Network is dedicated to the proposition that meaningful employment is a precondition for a fulfilling life and that every person capable of working should have the right to a job. They publish "The Full Count" — monthly unemployment data that tells the real story the official numbers don't.
Their work on the Federal Job Guarantee, Green Jobs for All, and a 21st Century Economic Bill of Rights directly supports what the labor movement is building toward. Labor councils, locals, and worker organizations should be partnering with NJFAN to push for full employment policies that lift all working families.
Team4Success has been doing transformative work in Lake County, Tennessee — one of the most economically challenged counties in the country — since 2014. Through their STAR Program (Students That Achieve Results), they work with young people on leadership, community service, and educational development, proving that zip code doesn't determine destiny.
Not every student wants to go to college — and they shouldn't have to in order to earn a good living. Team4Success is the perfect bridge to connect rural youth with pre-apprenticeship programs, skilled trades, and labor unions. When kids learn about union careers early, they see a clear path to middle-class wages, healthcare, and retirement security without crushing student debt. This is where the labor movement and youth empowerment meet.
Founded by Lake County natives Bill Michaelcheck and Jerry Reese (former GM, NY Giants). 90% of donations go directly to students.
ProGeny Place is a Memphis-based organization dedicated to moving Mid-Southerners to middle income through entrepreneurship and job skills attainment. They foster the belief that economic parity is achievable — and they're building the workforce programs to make it happen.
For workers and students looking to enter apprenticeship programs, ProGeny Place offers the foundational skills training needed to pass entrance tests and succeed. Their programs cover workforce readiness, basic skills development, and pre-apprenticeship preparation — giving participants the tools to compete and get accepted into registered apprenticeship programs with union locals.
