Chartered in 1952, OPEIU Local 277 represents office and professional workers — clerical, technical, administrative, and specialized white-collar employees — across roughly 35 collective bargaining agreements.
Local 277 is an affiliate of the AFL-CIO and stands in solidarity with sister unions through Central Labor Councils, including the Memphis & West TN CLC.
Office work is union work. The men and women of Local 277 keep payroll, customer service, claims, records, and operations running across the industries they serve — and they do it with a strong contract behind them.
