Louisville's Ford local — Kentucky Truck Plant, Louisville Assembly, and workplaces across the Commonwealth.
UAW Local 862 represents the workers of Ford's Kentucky Truck Plant and Louisville Assembly Plant — two of the largest and most important plants in Ford's entire footprint — along with many other workplaces across the state of Kentucky.
Kentucky Truck Plant builds the Super Duty trucks, Ford Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator — the workhorses and flagships of the Ford lineup. Louisville Assembly has carried the Escape and other nameplates through the years. Tens of thousands of Louisville families have been built on Local 862 paychecks.
Local 862 is a cornerstone of UAW Region 8 and of Louisville's working-class identity — when the trucks move, it's because union hands moved them.
